Graduate Research Assistant in Cardiac Dynamics

The Center for Nonlinear Science at Georgia Institute of Technology has an opening for a Graduate Research Assistant in Cardiac Dynamics. The RA will join the NSF-funded collaboration between Georgia Institute of Technology (Predrag Cvitanović, Flavio Fenton and Roman Grigoriev), Rochester Institute of Technology (Elizabeth Cherry), and Max Planck Institute (Stefan Luther) which brings together experts in nonlinear dynamics and cardiac electrophysiology. The thesis project will focus on the theoretical and computational modeling of cardiac tissue in interaction with both theorists and experimentalists in the group. Background in nonlinear dynamics and experience with computer simulations is helpful. Additional information about the project and the Center for Nonlinear Science is available at ChaosBook.org/tutorials/cardiac.html and www.cns.gatech.edu.

The RA position is available immediately. If interested, please contact Roman Grigoriev or Predrag Cvitanović.
