I will use this page to organize my many interests. Some appear here now. I'll include code, pictures, and other thoughts as often as I can. Enjoy.

Computers, Linux and minor coding

At home, I run Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit on a dual-core AMD 64 X2 4600+. It's a great machine that runs Linux cleanly and it is quiet. I prefer Linux for its versatility and customizability.

Sometimes I write some scripts to make my life easier. I'll post some here.

UPDATE: After talking with Bruce Sherwood this summer (2008), he has developed an simple install for Mac OS X 10.5. There's an install for both PPC and Intel based Macs. Check it out here.

LaTeX

For most 'word-processing' tasks, I tend to use LaTeX. I will post style files with examples when I dig them up.

Survey.sty

I created this style to make a survey for the outreach work I do. It might be used for the Matter and Interactions TA surveys. Using the style file creates a document like this one. [pdf]

If you choose to add this to LaTeX's style files, make sure you type:

BBQ

I love to barbeque. Nothing like a chicken smoked for 5 hours. I am perfecting my technique every weekend. Well, almost every weekend. Pictures to come.
