I have met Nenad just once, for an interview that lasted less than 30 minutes: He was mindful of the danger of his trip, and when I asked him why he was doing it, his reply---"It is a question to which there is no answer" ---was not given flippantly. He was quite serious in that assertion. I was left with the impression that he was concerned about the pain and worry his wife and family would feel during his journey; I think it was something he was truly struggling with.
